Being There (1979)

This is a very strange movie. It is about a simple-minded gardener who has worked in the same house his whole life, and has only been educated by television. Eventually he is brought into the upper class society and stays in another mansion and becomes very popular. The ending is pretty weird and I still do not understand it: is he God or what?

Grisham thought that it was easy to watch, and he thought the ending was too artsy-fartsy, but not too bad.

Grisham – 6.5/10

Sam – 5/10
