The Aviator (2004)

2 hours and 50 minutes of Leonardo DiCaprio being a snobby, white, rich guy who goes crazy and gets what he wants. Neither of us had heard anything of Howard Hughes before this movie, so it was a nice and interesting history lesson for us. I can see why it won so many awards because the acting was really good, and his performance was phenomenal. Grisham thought that the CGI was bad, but maybe that is because it was over a decade ago. I liked how they used his real life story and experiences, even though some of it didn’t make sense to me at the time. For example, all of the airplane talk, I had no idea what anything was. The movie was extensively long though and it could have been shortened.

Grisham – 8.5/10

Sam – 6.5/10
